Tupaia, a Polynesian who travelled with captain cook used the stars to navigate. Tupaia was an artist, a tattooist, fueling in Pasifika languages and English. Tupaia has not been acknowledged for his part in Cook's journey to Aotearoa. We are learning about Tupaia and his travels with Captain Cook.
